The Women’s College is conveniently located only seven kilometres from the Brisbane city centre and has easy access to transport facilities, including the Citycat ferry to the city and Southbank.

Flanked by University lakes and the Brisbane River, the College is an attractive location for conferences and functions - a venue of distinction for every occasion.

The College provides a wide range of well-equipped venues suitable for small and large groups.

The Harriet Marks Dining Hall, seating up to 240 guests, is tastefully appointed with original tapestries, lead light windows and art works. The Dining Hall includes a stage area and grand piano making it ideal for a performance to accompany a meal.

With antique furniture and complimentary fittings the Freda Bage Common Room is an elegant venue. Located just off the Dining Hall and verandah areas, it is ideal for a small to medium sized private function.

The College Playhouse is situated in the beautiful grounds of The Women's College and was opened by His Excellency the Governor of Queensland in October 1997.

   

The 150 seat theatre is equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual technology. An attractive glazed oval foyer provides an elegant inside reception area which spills out to beautifully landscaped grounds and entertainment areas. Fully air-conditioned, this is a superb venue for drama and music productions, as well as lectures and seminar meetings.

An adjacent conference room can be used for smaller seminar and discussion groups, seating 50 people, or two groups of 15 people each if the room is divided. They can also be used as dressing rooms for drama productions with a make-up room adjacent to the area.

On site parking is available during semester breaks in July, December and January.  At other times parking is available in Sir William MacGregor Drive and Thynne Road, adjacent to the College. 
 
College facilities are ideal for formal and informal entertaining, including weddings, cocktail parties, conference dinners, barbecues, and fund-raising events.
A superior in-house catering service complements our venues providing gourmet cuisine catering for up to 240 people.

Conference-catering packages are available, providing a variety of morning, afternoon teas, and lunch styles from which to choose.
