The Women's College

The Women's College Chislehurst Society is the association for past residents of College.

Chislehurst was the name of the first buliding that The Women's College occupied in Kangaroo Point from 1914.  It is because of this association that the past students' association is so named.

All past residents and friends of College are encouraged to join Chislehurst.

We hope that everyone who has an interest in The Women’s College will seek to join this group. Please email chislehurst@womens.uq.edu.au if you have any queries.

The Women’s College Chislehurst Society Aims:

The principal aim of the Society shall be to foster a wider community of The Women’s College hereinafter referred to as the College, so that those who are or were collegians, their families and friends, or those who wish to be associated with the College, may come together for the purpose of furthering, supporting, and nurturing the College’s best interests.

A further aim of the Society shall be to continue to honour the original College Standing Committee, and to continue the work of the Standing Committee, in particular, the annual Standing Committee Luncheon. The luncheon will continue to be known as the Standing Committee Luncheon. This will ensure the continuance of funding for the Standing Committee annual academic prizes to current collegians.
