Congratulations to our new members of the Student Club Executive for 2020. Ella Cooper, is the new Student Club President, Susannah Lehman, Vice President; Abbey Webster, Treasurer and Lucy White, Secretary. The new leadership team are joined by nine executives who have been elected by the student body. The Women's College looks forward to working with this dynamic team of young women who will lead our students next year.

Last night we celebrated and acknowledged our Graduands, third year Valedicts as well as first and second year Valedicts. We also recognised the outstanding commitment and dedication of our 2019 Student Leadership Team under the direction of Kate Land, Student Club President and Georgia Hayward, Senior Resident Assistant. We were also delighted to have Professor Margaret Sheil AO, Vice-Chancellor & President, QUT, as our guest speaker for this prestigious Women's College special event. 2020 Resident Assistants Announced

The incoming 2020 Resident Assistants were officially announced on Sunday 20 October. Congratulations to Julia Becker who was appointed as Senior Resident Assistant and Camille Cherbuin; Deputy Senior Resident Assistant. They are joined by a wonderful team of Resident Assistants who will lead in their duties and support the Dean of Students with mentorship, management and training within the RA program.

Sports Formal Dinner

The Sports Formal Dinner was held on Tuesday 15 October, and this was the last of the special 2019 College celebrations, which acknowledged and congratulated our outstanding women in sport. There were 56 young women presented with sports awards including most valuable player, most improved, ICC nominee, full blue and half blue sports awards. The dinner concluded with the announcement of this year's Sportswoman of the Year winner ... a big congratulations to Phoebe Cuskelly. Cultural Formal Dinner

Congratulations to ICC Cultural Rep, Alex Baxter, for organising the 2019 Cultural Formal Dinner on Tuesday 8 October. This special occasion commenced with Women’s College Student, Julia Hill and fellow students from the QLD Conservatorium Griffith University, performing a breathtaking musical item. Students were awarded for their outstanding efforts in their cultural pursuits for 2019 and Ellie Ferguson was announced as the winner of the 2019 Cultural Woman of the Year, and Georgia Hayward as Runner-Up.
