Mrs Florence Kearney (Flo) joined the College in 2019. She brings with her a distinguished career in the education of young women having been the principal of three leading independent girls’ schools over the last 20 years. Flo Kearney was educated in Brisbane, has degrees in Teaching and Commerce and a Masters in Educational Leadership.
Flo has a teaching career that extends from Richmond in Western Queensland, Bracken Ridge and Clontarf State High Schools and has been the principal of Rockhampton Girls Grammar, Ipswich Girls Grammar and most recently Somerville House.
With wider roles in the Not for Profit sector and Sporting arenas Flo brings an amazing range of skills to this pivotal role to support the next generation of Women at The Women’s College.
Ms Sally Northcroft has joined the senior management team at The Women’s College in 2019 and brings with her a background in team sports, teaching and her residential college experience to her role in the pastoral care and support of our young women.
She grew up in Zimbabwe, attended University in USA doing a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science prior to moving to Australia. She pursued a physical education career in Australia where she was Director of Sport at Brisbane Girls Grammar for seven years and Head of House, physical education teacher and hockey coach at Somerset College, Mudgeeraba, Queensland. Sally is now returning to Queensland after spending some years working in NSW.
Ms Jessie Demnar commenced as Dean of Learning in 2017. She has a dual-degree in Arts and Business Management and was involved in with The National Association of Australian University Colleges (NAAUC) during her time at The University of Queensland. Jessie co-ordinates the College’s tutorial program, provides residents with academic guidance and assists the Deputy Head of College in the pastoral care of our residents.
Business Manager – Bachelor of Commerce, Finance and Financial Management Services
Elsa joined the College in 2016. She is a chartered accountant with 13 years experience gained in both professional and commercial roles with expertise in project accounting management. The Business Manager is responsible for all the financial matters of College.
Operations Manager – Diploma Hotel and Restaurant Mgmt
Mr Jeff Sipek was appointed Operations Manager in 1989. He holds a Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management and is responsible for all matters relating to the maintenance of the College, the general supervision of College’s day-to-day operations, catering, conferences and functions.
Ms Stephanie Stappung was appointed Financial Accountant in 2017. Stephanie has 5 years experience in accounting within Australian and Internationally. She is responsible for assisting the Business Manager in all financial matters of College.
Conference & Events Manager – Ass. Dip. Hospitality Management
Mrs Anne Kuskopf was appointed as Conferences & Events Co-ordinator in April 2010. After working for 8 years as a registered nurse and mid-wife, Anne commenced her studies in hospitality. She has 25 years experience in the hospitality industry, including restaurant and event management at a number of 5 star hotels. Anne also owned a cafe/delicatessen and operated her own catering business prior to commencing at The Women’s College. She is responsible for all matters relating to conferences, events and accommodation bookings and all related enquiries should be directed to her email.
Mrs Rhonda Henderson was appointed as Administration Officer in 2011. Rhonda was a registered nurse for 20 years both within Australia and internationally. She is responsible for all general administrative matters in the College. All general enquiries should be directed to her.
Mrs Edna Kruger was appointed Bookkeeper and Administration Officer in April 2018. She is responsible for assisting the Business Manager in all bookkeeping matters of College and undertaking the duties of the Administration Officer.
