Some parts of the website eg forms, will ask for the voluntary supply of personal information. This information may include name and contact information eg emails or phone numbers to help us deliver our services or the information you have requested via the site including a range of support in relation to living at Womens, engaging as an Alumna or making an enquiry. Information submitted via our website is sent encrypted with the help of industry standard security tools such as a security certificate (https vs http). To help improve the service we provide through our website, certain information is collected from your browser by this website. This information is collected as statistical information and includes: IP address; browser type; language; and access times. This information is for statistical reference and site analysis only.

Some information is collected via a cookie is a small data file that may write to your hard disk when visiting a site. The cookie primarily contains a USER ID that aids in tracking. Cookies can also retain information that you supply to the website. This information helps maintaining the continuity of your browsing session and access to the website.

Other than the above stated, The Women’s College will not attempt to identify users or their browsing activities except in the event of an investigation by law enforcement: or  if we are required to collect and produce documentation to fulfil obligations to third parties such as statutory organisations under local law.

In the course of providing services you request, personal information may be shared: with authorities; third parties engaged by us to provide services to you; to protect intellectual property rights; or to enforce the Terms and Conditions of the website.

Security

The Women’s College website uses industry standard security systems and protocols to protect submitted data. Information submitted online is only stored within the Content Management System that administers the Website for a short period of time to facilitate our response to submitted information. The site is regularly administered to remove or export into internal systems any information gathered in line with the above policy. The Women’s College puts in place all reasonable measures to protect personal information from loss, prohibited access, misuse, alteration, destruction or unauthorised disclosure.

When purchasing from The Women’s College, card details are transmitted through a secure server using Westpac Payway Net. Card data is not hosted by The Women’s College after processing.

Currency

Please note that costs of items within The Women’s College website are all in Australian Dollars.

Shipping & Delivery

Physical items which can be purchased through The Women’s College website which require shipping can be shipped Australia wide or internationally. Shipping fees will apply accounting for weight, size and destination in line with Australia Post. Australia Post, unless required otherwise, is the organisation we deliver any products through. Exact fees will be calculated during the checkout in the shopping cart. Orders will be normally dispatched within 2 business days. Shipping times can vary depending on your location for example 2 – 3 business days for major cities and centres and longer if the destination is international.

Refund policy

The Women’s College has different refund policies in place depending on the nature of the transaction. Not all financial transactions with The Women’s College for goods and services can be achieved online. Please contact the Conferences & Events Manager if you have any queries in relation to an event and event related accommodation booking, change or cancellation as considerations vary depending on the specific nature of your event booking.

1 – Purchase of items such as merchandise or other non-service related items potentially listed within the online shop – Please choose carefully. We do not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision. If The women’s College cancels an event with a ticket price, you can choose between a refund, exchange or credit where goods purchased are faulty, have been wrongly described or are different to the product purchased on the website or do not perform as advertised.

2 – Accommodation applicable to residents –  Termination Prior to First Residency ; If the Student is a ‘new’ Student (i.e. has never previously been a resident of the College) and wishes to terminate this Agreement prior to commencing residency she will forfeit the non-refundable deposit.  Term 1 Residency fees is refundable if notice of termination is received by the date agreed in the Residency Agreement.  Termination During Residency; A Student whose period of residency at the College has commenced may not terminate her obligations under this Agreement.  The Student shall remain liable to pay all unpaid monies that are owed to the College for the full academic year under this Agreement and shall not be entitled to a refund. Should the College receive an application from a suitable person to replace the Student as a resident then the Student may receive a pro-rated adjustment of her Residency Fee. There is no guarantee that a suitable replacement will be available and the College is under no obligation to seek a suitable candidate outside of its existing application pool.  Termination by College – Breach by Student; The College may at any time by written notice to the Student and without prejudice to its other rights and remedies, immediately terminate this Agreement (and the Student’s residence) should the Student be found to have breached this Agreement, the requirements of the College’s Handbook, other relevant policies, guidelines, rules or procedures. Any Fees and Charges paid in advance by the Student will be forfeited and the Student will remain liable for any unpaid fees and charges to the Finish Date of their Agreement.
