Official Opening of the Wellbeing Precinct
Under brilliant blue skies, the Joan & Denise Robinson Wellbeing Precinct was officially opened on Tuesday 2 September 2025, marking a significant milestone in the College’s Master Plan and highlighting our ongoing commitment to student wellbeing.
Designed to enrich the lives of our students and the broader College community, the Wellbeing Precinct provides a space that fosters connection, relaxation and recreation. With a new pavilion, a soon-to-be renovated multi-purpose court surface, and an enhanced perimeter, the Precinct meets the diverse needs of students and our community today and into the future.
The Official Opening brought together the donors and supporters who made this project possible, including the Robinson Family. David Robinson paid tribute to his mother Joan, and wife Denise, in whose honour the Precinct is named. Joan Robinson’s long-standing dedication through the Standing Committee has helped the College thrive and supported countless building appeals.
Other special contributions within the Precinct include:
- A group of friends from the early 2000s honoured Allana ‘Lani’ Smith (1999 – 2002) with a commemorative plaque.
- Alumna Ann Warrell (1972 –1974) honoured her College Principal Molly Budtz-Olsen (1963 –1974) with a commemorative plaque.
- Many alumnae, friends and staff demonstrated their support with engraved named bricks forming the Giving Circle.
- The 2023, 2024 and 2025 Student Clubs are recognised through the Student Club Promenade.
