Step into an afternoon of connection, conversation, and purpose at the inaugural Women’s College Alumnae Walk.
Join fellow alumnae for a curated two-hour Urban Discovery Walk, guided by Girls Trek, through the heart of Brisbane’s river city. Together, you’ll explore the charm of New Farm Park, wander along the riverside, and uncover hidden historical gems – while reconnecting with friends and forging new connections within the alumnae community.
This is more than a walk – it’s a shared experience that celebrates the strength of the Women’s College network and the power of women supporting women.
Following the walk, unwind with refreshments in the park as the conversation continues.

Funds raised will support the Alumnae Awards Fund, strengthening the impact of the Mary Wooza Scholarship and Alumnae Awards Scholarship – providing life-changing access to a Women’s College experience for future generations.

Entry fee
$55 per person, includes:
- Two-hour guided walk with Girls Trek
- Public Liability Insurance
- Post-walk refreshments, including a glass of champagne and shared platters
A small booking fee applies at checkout, which Humanitix donates to charity.
Program
2:15 pm – 2:30 pm | Arrival
Our meeting point is the Band Stand in New Farm Park. Look out for The Women's College flags.
2:30 pm – 4:30 pm | Guided walk
Departing from and returning to New Farm Park.
4:30 pm – 5:30 pm | Refreshments
Post-walk refreshments include a glass of champagne and shared platters.
5:45 pm onwards | Optional post-walk social drinks
Enjoy a drink with alumnae at Officers Mess (50 Oxlade Drive, New Farm).
FAQs
What should I wear on the Alumnae Walk?
Dress for comfort and ease, with:
- Comfortable active wear (we suggest wearing maroon, navy or white to represent Women's College as a united group)
- Supportive, grippy shoes
- Hat and sunscreen
- Rain jacket, of applicable (the walk will proceed in light rain)
What should I bring?
Please bring any personal medications or first aid items you may require. Don't forget a rain jacket as the walk will proceed in light rain.
Are pets allowed on the Alumnae Walk?
Dogs and other pets (excluding Guide Dogs) are not permitted on the walk.
What will happen if the weather is inclement?
The Women's College and Girls Trek will consider the weather in the lead-up to the event. The Alumnae Walk will proceed in light rain. In the very small chance that the walk cannot be held on the day, we will notify participants and reschedule the event.

By taking part in this event, you grant The Women’s College full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for promotional purposes.
