The Women’s College congratulates alumna Barbara Page-Hanify (1951 – 1953), who was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) on 26 January 2024. Barbara was the first woman in Australia to complete a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy) at The University of Queensland, and was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to people with intellectual disability.

The Women’s College congratulates alumna @Peta Jamieson (1989 – 1991), who was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) on 26 January 2024. Peta is Chair of The Board Of Directors at Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service, and Director at Gladstone Ports Corp. She was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to community health, and to business.
