The Women’s College congratulates alumna Barbara Page-Hanify (1951 – 1953), who was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) on 26 January 2024. Barbara was the first woman in Australia to complete a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy) at The University of Queensland, and was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to people with intellectual disability. Marie Myers Scholarship The Women’s College is delighted to announce the availability of the Marie Myers Scholarship. This scholarship is part of the UQ Residential Scholarships Scheme, and was established in 2023 by Marie Myers (alumna 1984 – 1985) under the UQ Create Change Scholarship Match initiative.
