Awarded to a resident studying physiotherapy or occupational therapy who has achieved outstanding academic results. This award was established in 2020.

Brisbane Women’s Club Young Achiever Prize

Awarded to a resident who has displayed exceptional qualities and has achieved notable success, making a positive impact on their community or society at large. This award was established in 2023 and awarded for the first time in 2024.

Awarded to a Senior resident for outstanding academic results.

Ethel Raybould Prize

Awarded to a First Year resident who achieved outstanding academic results.

Hazel Francis Prize

Awarded to a resident who is undertaking a degree in music and has achieved outstanding academic results in Music. Hazel Francis left a generous legacy to The Women’s College, which the Council agreed would be used to award a prize.

Henderson Foundation Prize

Awarded to a Senior country resident who achieved outstanding academic results.

IMB Science Excellence Award

Awarded to one or more residents who have achieved outstanding academic results in a science-related degree in the previous year. This prize was established in 2022.

Jeff Sipek Service Prize

Awarded to a resident in recognition of their service to the community and to The Women’s College. This prize was established in 2023 and first awarded in 2024.

Joan Robinson Prize

Awarded to a resident deemed to be most meritorious on the basis of her academic record and her contribution to College affairs.

Lisbeth Hopkins Prize

Awarded to a resident who achieved outstanding academic results in English, Arts or Creative Arts. Recipients of the Lisbeth Hopkins Scholarship have demonstrated their academic success, and are encouraged to follow Lisbeth’s example of a full life, devoted to family, community, generosity and leadership.

Margaret Piddington Prize

Awarded to a Third Year Arts student with the most meritorious results in her second year examinations.

May McLean Hancock Prize

Awarded for outstanding academic achievement in Commerce, Economics or Business-related studies.

Molly Budtz-Olsen Prize

Rewards the outstanding academic achievement of a First Year resident studying a Humanities and Social Science degree.

Principal’s Prize

Awarded to a resident who has shown outstanding academic achievement, based on achieved grade point average in the official University examinations for the academic year.

QUT Academic Prize

Awarded to a resident who is studying at QUT and has outstanding academic results from the previous year. This prize was established in 2023.

Suellen Topfer Prize

Awarded to a resident who achieved outstanding academic results in a Bachelor of Communications (majoring in journalism or related field). This prize was established in 2022.

The Women’s College Sports Prize

Awarded to a resident who has made a positive difference to the culture of the College through her high engagement of participation in or support of the ICC Sporting Program during the previous academic year. This prize was established in 2023.

The Women’s College Standing Committee Prize

Awarded to a Second Year resident who has achieved outstanding academic results in Science. The Standing Committee Prize is provided from a fund that was established in 1935.

Vera Jones Prize

Awarded to a First Year resident for her significant contribution to College. This prize is determined by the Student Club.

Wihelmina Gladstone Jameson Scholarship Prize

Awarded to a Second Year resident who will continue as a resident in her Third Year who achieves outstanding academic results. This prize was established in 1971 by a bequest of the late Wilhelmina Gladstone Jameson.
