Decide if you wish to make a pledge (a regular amount) or a one-off donation. Then decide the amount you wish to make. (e.g. approximately $90 covers costs for one student for one day, $600 a week & $21,000 an academic year).
This bursary fund embodies the goal to ensure equitable access to both quality university education and the rewarding College experience for all women, regardless of their background.
Scholarships support high achieving students (academic, cultural, sport and leadership) during their university studies.
WOOZA YEAR FUND
This fund is established by alumnae from a year group/s to support a high achieving student during their university years who requires financial assistance.
UQ YOUNG ACHIEVERS PROGRAM
A residential scholarship initiative between UQ and Women’s College that enable talented students from low socio-economic background to attend University. Donation commitments of $16,500 (split over three years) or $5,500 (for one year) are sought. UQ matches donations dollar for dollar up to $11,000 per year (two scholarships per year).
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE PRIZE
Academic Excellence Prizes are awarded to Women’s College residents based on their cumulative university results from the previous year and the criteria of the particular Academic Prize. Many of these prizes are long standing and were established by donor bequests, alumnae and the Council. Opportunities are available to establish a prize in your honour.
CULTURE & ART FUND
This fund supports the restoration of artworks including paintings, sculptures and tapestries. It intends to ensure the continuation of College traditions and enhance the living environment.
