2022 Sports Formal Dinner

Our 2022 Sports Formal Dinner, held on Wednesday 12 October, celebrated the achievements of our students excelling in all areas of sport for the 2022 academic year.

Lily Black, Sport Convenor, officially announced the winners of the 2022 Sport Awards. She also facilitated an In Conversation with our guest speaker, 2022 Inspirational Alumna Award winner Imogen Alton (pictured in the third row, left-most photo).

At the event, Lily summarised the year in sports for Women’s, saying “This year, Women’s placed first in netball, swimming, soccer, rowing, and rugby 7’s; remaining the reigning undefeated champions in rugby 7’s for the past two years now. But we didn’t stop there, with second place in touch football, second in AFL, third in basketball, fourth in hockey and athletics, and sixth in tennis and table tennis. These achievements are some of our greatest for the College as a whole and I for one could not be prouder.”

The recipients of our four major Sport Awards were:
  • Spirit of ICC Award Nominee – Imarnie Fatnowna
  • Mary Wooza Sport Award – Hayley Wright
  • Frances Wright Sport Award – Laura Carniel
  • Sportswoman of the Year – Paige Carpenter
Women’s congratulates all students who received an award at this Formal Dinner including Half Blue and Full Blue recipients as well as ICC, Most Improved and Most Valuable Players.
