2022 Women of the World Q&A | Women in Education

Our fifth instalment of the popular Women of the World Q&A Series featured a panel of experienced women in the field of education. Our panellists were joined by current students and young alumnae for this networking evening on Monday 24 October.

Our panellists included:

  • Alexandra Cochran – the Years 11 and 12 Culture & Engagement Coordinator at Whites Hill State College. She has coordinated year levels for the past eight years, and is also currently teaching Senior English in the SATE system. Alexandra is an alumna and resided at The Women’s College from 2009 – 2011.
  • Briana (Bree) Seibel – a passionate Queensland State School teacher with nearly 20 years’ experience educating students in diverse locations, school settings and roles. She is now the Acting Head of Technologies at the new Brisbane South State Secondary College, a showcase school for Queensland.
  • Janet Stewart – an experienced educator with a demonstrated history of working in the primary/secondary education industry. She is currently the Principal at Moreton Bay College. A Growth Coaching International (GCI) Accredited Coach, Janet is skilled in coaching, communication, staff development, educational leadership, and teaching.
  • Rebecca Sullivan – who has worked in education since 2004 and has extensive experience in both pastoral and curriculum leadership. She joined Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School in 2019 in the role of Dean of Students. Rebecca is an alumna and resided at The Women’s College from 1999 – 2001.
