This year, we celebrate the College’s 109th Birthday with our College community.

Some of the highlights of this year’s event include the launch of the College’s 110th Anniversary in 2024 and a special Q&A featuring Women in Tertiary Education with a panel of Queensland Vice-Chancellors, facilitated by Emeritus Professor Carol Dickenson AM, President of The Women’s College Council.

Meet our panellists:

Professor Carolyn Evans is Vice Chancellor and President of Griffith University. Professor Evans graduated with degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Melbourne and a doctorate from Oxford where she studied as a Rhodes Scholar.

Professor Margaret Sheil AO is Vice-Chancellor and President of Queensland University of Technology. Professor Sheil holds a Bachelor of Science and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from The University of New South Wales.

Professor Deborah Terry AO Vice-Chancellor and President of The University of Queensland. Professor Terry completed her PhD in Social Psychology at Australian National University in Canberra.

Following the Q&A, a High Tea will be held in the Chislehurst Room featuring an In Conversation with Joanna Jenkins (alumna 1982 – 1984) about her new published book How To Kill A Client (pictured right), facilitated by Olivia Williamson (alumna 1999 – 2003). Proceeds from book sales will support the College’s Bursary Program. How to Kill A Client will be available in all bookstores from 31 January 2023.
