A highlight on the College calendar is the annual Standing Committee Luncheon. This special event acknowledges the Standing Committee, the original assembly of prominent citizens and community leaders who established, promoted and fundraised for The Women’s College from the early 1900s. Named in their honour, this luncheon proudly acknowledges the past efforts of generations of committed College alumnae and friends, while raising funds.
Complete with an engaging speaker, the annual Standing Committee Luncheon serves to honour our benefactors and champions, and to inspire future generations of women to commit their time and resources to this invaluable cause. As tradition continues, the proceeds from the luncheon provide the primary source of income for the annual Standing Committee Bursary and Academic Prize.
This year’s keynote speaker is Cr Krista Adams, Deputy Mayor and Chair for the 2032 Olympic & Paralympic Games.
Guests will enjoy a delicious two-course lunch (main meal and dessert) including a glass of wine followed by coffee and tea. A cash bar will be available to purchase additional drinks. Your ticket also includes a $10 donation to support our annual bursary and academic prize.
Event Program:
11:30am – Doors Open for Registration and Stall Opens
12:15pm – Two-course lunch and Keynote Speaker Address
1:45pm – Coffee and Tea. Raffle and lucky door prizes drawn.
2:15pm – Event concludes
Cost: $75 per person
Raffle & Stall: During the event, guests will have the opportunity to purchase tickets in a multi-draw raffle and support the popular handmade stall featuring a wonderful assortment of craft, baked goods, plants and preserves.
Dress Code: Smart Casual
Parking: Parking is available on site at the College
