Our second Women of the World Q&A event for 2023 will feature a panel of experienced women working in the field of Healthcare. Join Women’s for this networking dinner where you’ll have the opportunity to hear from and engage with the following panellists:

Izzy Graham (alumna 2013 – 2014)
Flight Nurse and Midwife, Royal Flying Doctor Service

Izzy Graham finished school and commenced her nursing studies while residing at The Women’s College in 2013. She began working as a Registered Nurse at the Wesley Hospital in 2016, predominantly in the Intensive Care Unit. In July 2020, Izzy commenced her midwifery studies on the Central Coast of NSW and completed them by July 2021. In January of 2022, she began working for Royal Flying Doctor Service in Charleville as a Flight Nurse and Midwife.

Dr Rebecca Lyon (alumna 2002 – 2004)
Head, UQ Regional Training Hub Southern Queensland
Academic Lead, Toowoomba Regional Clinical Unit, School of Medicine, The University of Queensland

Dr Rebecca Lyon is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is currently practicing in Toowoomba. She has a strong interest in rural health, complex case management and paediatrics. In her academic leadership roles (listed above), she enjoys working with students, junior doctors and supervisors to deliver a rewarding and unique clinical learning experience in the Darling Downs and South West Queensland regions.

Dr Nina Petroff (alumna 1992 – 1994)
Consultant Psychiatrist, Bellmount House

Dr Nina Petroff graduated from UQ in 1997 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She completed the requirements of the RANZCP Fellowship in Sydney in 2006. From 2006 – 2013, she was employed as a consultant psychiatrist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital with the Early Psychosis Team. Dr Petroff has a special interest in anxiety and mood disorders, psychological illness in the context of cancer and trauma related illness.

Kaitlyn Spalding (alumna 2008 – 2010)
Occupational Therapy Lecturer, Griffith University
Advanced Occupational Therapist, STARS

With over 12 years’ experience in the healthcare industry, Kaitlyn Spalding is a skilled Occupational Therapist in the field of inpatient rehabilitation, with an interest in value-based interventions. As a clinician researcher, Kaitlyn has published several papers, presented at national conferences, and believes in clinically driven research to maximise the benefit of her work for both clinicians and their patients.

Felicity Storie (alumna 2009 – 2010)
Mental Health Social Worker & Counsellor, Calming Mind Counselling Brisbane

Felicity Storie is an accomplished Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with a diverse background. With experience that includes senior clinical roles in headspace centres and in hospital and community settings, Felicity is passionate about providing professional supervision and guidance for early career mental health clinicians. Felicity now runs her private practice, offering tailored psychological therapy. She also works for Outback Futures.
